Great Retractable Hose â Worth the Money!

Not that Giraffe needs another good review, but this thing is great! I’m an avid gardener with a 3/4 acre lot and four outdoor hose bibs. I ordered one of these as a test drive and I’m going to add one or two a month until I have one on every hose bib. Super easy to install with one minor gripe: no one has a 7/16″ drill bit. The plastic anchors they give you are a little flimsy and will bend when you try to tap them into the 3/8″ hole. You have to work the hole a little so that the anchors will go in, and I used other 3/8″ anchors I already had instead. OR, Giraffe could recognize this reality and send standard sized anchors and bolts! Otherwise, very easy install. Oh, and you’ll want to get some rubber hose washers for the leader hose as none were included and it will leak without that. Aside from trivial install issues, using the hose is a major game changer for a large property. No more piles of hoses or getting dirty trying to manually reel in or coil. Excellent product!

Great customer service! Replaced my unit.
Retractor failed on first unit, but they replaced it immediately and this is a good brand. We have a couple others that work great!The thin hose is good for a compact fit, and you shouldnât go too fast or it might get tangled up. Super easy to handle and solid build.

Hard to roll back up
Worked great first few times but sometimes itâs honestly more of a hassle than just manually rolling up a hose. It gets about 6 foot from being completely rolled up but then stops and I have to pull the entire hose back out and try it again a few times to get it to roll back up completely

Check the inside hose diameter
The product has shown good durability. Be sure to check the inside hose diameter. It was smaller than I expected and thus not pleased with the investment. The plastic hand water attachment did not last longâ plasticâ leaked like a sieve after one tumble to ground.

It was easy enough to attach this hose to the house. It works exactly like it should. The hose is heavy duty which is good but it is heavy and requires a bit of effort to pull it out. The mechanism to stop it retracting is a bit finicky so sometimes it takes a couple of tries.
